Scripture
“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
—Hebrews 10:23–25 (NLT)

Sometimes it’s hard to hold on to hope in a world so full of pain, division, and suffering. Heartache can leave even the strongest of us feeling worn down. But as followers of Jesus, we are called to live differently. We’re invited to hold tightly—without wavering—to the hope we affirm. Why? Because God can be trusted to keep His promise.
This world is not our final home. There is something better, something more beautiful that awaits us. Our hope is not rooted in circumstances but in a faithful God who has promised to make all things new. And while we wait for that day, we are not meant to wait alone.

The author of Hebrews exhorts us to think intentionally about how we can motivate one another to love and good works. That’s not passive encouragement—it’s active, creative, and deliberate. We’re meant to stir each other up to live lives that reflect the heart of Jesus.

That’s why meeting together matters. It’s not just a spiritual habit—it’s a lifeline. We need one another to stay encouraged, to stay focused, and to stay hopeful. We don’t have unlimited time here, and each of us has been given gifts to use for the glory of God and the good of others. So let’s gather, encourage, and remind each other of what’s true—especially as the day of Christ’s return draws near. Hope is contagious, and when we live it out together, we point the world to Jesus.

Reflection
1. Where do you find it most difficult to hold on to hope right now?

2. Who in your life needs encouragement to keep going and live out their faith?

3. How can you be more intentional about gathering with others and stirring them up to love and good works?

Prayer
Thank God for the unshakable hope you have in Him. Ask Him to help you cling to that hope and to be a source of encouragement for others. Pray for eyes to see the opportunities around you to love, serve, and point others to Jesus.
